Traveling with family allows you to learn and grow together, whether exploring a city or country or hiking through a jungle or desert.

Cliches may sound silly, but they do contain a certain truth. Families are similar to an atom; they all play a part, making it the basis of life.

On a larger scale, a family hopes to function similarly. Families and individuals are also susceptible to becoming engrossed in their routines as they adapt and grow.

The creativity and energy will start to wane. It is difficult to avoid this because the times demand so much from us. It’s never too early to take a break and reconnect with yourself and others.

6. Cape Town, South Africa

Cape Town’s stunning landscape, from the flat-topped Table Mountain to the turquoise waters of Table Bay, is a testament to its beauty. Still, it doesn’t just thrive because of its appearance.

Cape Town’s vibrant arts, dining and nightlife scene, which is proudly multicultural, is proof of its creativity and innovative spirit.

I knew I was in serious trouble when I searched for dry composting toilets. It was just a few days after Cape Town’s mayor announced new water restrictions. Now, we are limited to 13 gallons per person and per day.

This is enough water for a 90-second shower, half a gallon of drinking, a sink full of washing dishes or clothes, a cooked meal, 2 hand washes, 2 toothbrushes, and 1 toilet flush.

I could save a couple of gallons if I used a composting toilet instead of the regular flush. It’s something that hippie friends who live off-grid in the country do. [Why do you travel with your family?]
